Supporting independent evaluation and research activities related to projects that we fund Funding for research Community Online resource Extranet developments Commissioning research to focus on sustainability We have invested nearly £80 million in research grants over the last 14 years The funding has been awarded to hundreds of Third Sector Organisations who partnered up with universities to complete social or medical research across a diverse range of themes such as isolation, wellbeing, disability, poverty and social exclusion. We are investing a further £29.5 million in the current Research Grants programme and decisions about funding will be made in October 2009.
