Philippi: Changing Europe
Acts 16:27-30 When the jailer awoke and saw the prison doors opened, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Do not harm yourself, for we are all here!" And he called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas, and after he brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" Outcome: Contagious Salvations “their wounds were healed”

Philippi: Changing Europe
“Apologized to them…” When was the last time you ever saw a politician (esp. ROMAN) apologize? Safety Guaranteed “See…the bretheren” Where from? (Prisoners listening?) Paul allowed the unjust beating for the sake of the Christians in Phillipi (esp. women, who would be persecuted viciously). He teaches, admonishes, exhorts them to rejoice. Continues doing so in the book of Phillipians; still in jail; still in need of joy.
