Main characteristics:
Created in 2014 to be developed in Polytechnics
Access competitions are locally managed by HEI
HEI create and manage regional VET networks, with specific vacancies for holders of level 4 coming from the network
Practically oriented programs (some with PBL) with 120 ECTS:
< 27 ECTS for general and scientific subjects
> 63 ECTS for technical subjects
30 ECTS of internship

The Program for Modernization and Enhancement of Portuguese Polytechnics is structured from the competences and specificities in each Polytechnic and from the territorial, economic and social context, considering the system as a all and the unequivocal importance of this system to the development of the country and the enhancement of each particular region.
