When purchasing a major item, it is important that you read and understand the warranty.
Some things to consider: What is covered? (Labor, parts) Length of time? Cost of repair? (If it has to be shipped away, who pays?) What is required to keep the warranty in effect? Checking the warranty

Guidelines for consumers
Read and follow use and care directions. Understand stores return/exchange policies. Buy within your budget and check bills for accuracy. Exercise your right to protest. Think about what you need before you buy. (This includes specific requirements/features you want/need.) Compare stores and brands. Check for extra charges or fees.
