1 Mrs. Hake’s Friday, March 23rd edition CLASSROOM news Week in Review: Sneak Peak We introduced our camping theme by having students make binoculars in the art center. In the science center we sorted insects. We used our knowledge of letter sounds to fill in the missing letters of camping objects and we used our fine motor skills to move bait into different compartments of our fishing tackle box., We wrote about what we would take on a camping trip, where we would go, who would go with us and what we would do. We played several camping games such as sorting items that have sh at the beginning and items that have sh at the end, reading sentences and choosing the picture that illustrated it, and fishing for sight words. In math, we learned all about three dimensional shapes and continued to work on adding and subtracting. at Next Week Theme of the Week: Easter Vowel friends: lonely e says e like in jet Sci/Social Studies: Holidays from around the world, life cycles of animals Math: addition/Subtraction Rainbow words: seven/pink Upcoming Events: March 26-March 30 – Spring Break April – Parent Lunch Week and Book Fair April 13 – Field Trip to Aullwood Farms - Wonders Pack Sack Lunch and eat at Aullwood Contact info: Kari Hake
