5
External Network Information
September, 2005 External Network Information From requirement: Network Selection A STA whether its subscription to an SSPN would allow it to access a particular AN which interworking services are available APs can advertise (before connection) the charges that will be made for use of the network if connection is authorized based on an SSPN subscription. MIH Support Provide a transport mechanism for MIH related information elements in state 1: unauthenticated, unassociated (class 1 frames) Yao Zhonghui, Huawei
6
Interworking Capability
September, 2005 Interworking Capability From requirement: Online Enrollment R0E1: Define functionality by which the STA is able to determine what online enrolment (also called online subscription) methods are supported by the network. R0E4: Functionality shall be provided by which APs can advertise (before connection) the charges that will be made for use of the network if a user enrolls with it. MIH Support Provide a mechanism (for APs) to indicate Media Independent Handoff capability Yao Zhonghui, Huawei

SSPN Interface From requirement September, 2005 SSPN Interface
Define the Authorization Information (originated from the SSPN ) that shall be provided to the MAC and associated functionality. Define the Authorization Information (originated from the SSPN ) that shall be provided to the MAC and associated functionality honoring the information in the MAC. Define functionality by which admission control and QoS mapping decisions made locally in the AN can be influenced by the contents of the Authorization Information. Define functionality by which the Authorization Information described above can be modified by the SSPN. Make accessible accounting information for transfer to the SSPN. This shall include information about accepted TSPECs, their duration, and about actual traffic flows. Yao Zhonghui, Huawei
9
Network Sharing From requirements
September, 2005 Network Sharing From requirements Network Selection to support authentication with multiple SSPNs through a single AP. Tightly associated with SSPN interface Yao Zhonghui, Huawei
10
STA Sharing From requirements Authentication September, 2005
A STA shall be able to authenticate with different SSPNs simultaneously, in order to gain simultaneous access to multiple Destination Networks Yao Zhonghui, Huawei
11
Multi-Credentials From requirements Network Selection Authentication
September, 2005 Multi-Credentials From requirements Network Selection a STA that has multiple credentials with an SSPN to select the correct credentials when authenticating with a Local Network. Authentication A STA shall be able to authenticate with different SSPNs simultaneously, in order to gain simultaneous access to multiple Destination Networks. Yao Zhonghui, Huawei
