A Little Information About Maps
Areas near the equator are depicted accurately on a globe. “Shortest distance is a straight line” concept works north to south, but not east to west. Seasons in the southern hemisphere are the reverse of those in the northern hemisphere. Lines of longitude go north-south. Lines of latitude go east-west.
