Key findings Lack of relationship between prosperity and other factors underlines need to look beyond GDP Underlines the importance of the relationships between places – particularly travel to work patterns Highlights the role of infrastructure in connecting places and facilitating choice As business leaders it is important to understand the place in which we do business – are there skilled people, is there an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship, can employees afford to live there Creating economic and societal change needs the public, not for profit and business communities to work together – creating a vibrant economy isn’t simple
