Clearly Label your TOP 2 journals in the top right hand corner Staple all the journals together in order Pile the folder and journals seperately

Common problems lack of editing - punctuation, verb tense, word choice, sentence structure, spelling etc. shallow analysis - although more people avoided summary :) the analysis portion of the body paragraph lacked links to your points and thesis missing transitions - need to be in every paragraph to help the fluidity of your writing formatting issues - many of you were missing components of the essay - especially in your conclusions

General Writing Skill Improvements: less past tense and future tense some better word choice stronger PPEC formatting overall better quotation selection as evidence of points some transition words used most people were able to avoid summarizing the plot

10 FPT Introduction The Final Performance Task is an IN CLASS assignment worth 15% of your final mark. So it is VERY important you are in class each day. You will choose 3 different texts we have studied this semester (1 from each category) and demonstrate your knowledge of the course: The Chrysalids Twelfth Night ISU Novel Short Story or Poem

11 FPT Continued You create 5 components to complete your FPT; one component for each day: Day 1: Wednesday June 3rd Novel Settings Map - Text 1 (bring art utensils) Day 2: Thursday June 4th 3 Theme Paragraphs - All 3 Texts Day 3: Friday June 5th Symbolism Poem - Text 2 Day 4: Monday June 8th Sequel Book Jacket - Text 3 (bring art utensils) Day 5: Tuesday June 9th Presentation Sales Pitch - Text 3

12 FPT Continued Each day your work will be initialled by me and you may go home and type up your good copy of that section. This process ensures the work you submit is your own.
