TGIF! Today is Friday or Monday (4/19 or 4/22) SENIOR PROJECT/PAPER WRITING LAB – IN CLASS TIME
So far, you have completed and should have submitted the following components for the senior paper: Scavenger Hunt Literary Criticisms (25 Quotes) Reading Check (In Class Writing Assignment) Thesis Statement Opening Paragraphs & Three Quotes Your rough draft is due either 4/25 or 4/26. Remember, you MUST bring a printed copy to class on that day. MLA formatting is also required. You must have in text citations and a works cited page, as well.

Observations after grading three sets of the reading checks:
Make sure that your papers are not purely PLOT SUMMARIES. The reading check should have also MEAT in it. Remember the objective here is a LITERARY ANALYSIS. You should consider touching on: THEMES in your novel CHARCTERIZATION INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONFLICTS SYMBOLISM Please Note: this is not a master list, by any means, but they are some of the KEY components of any piece of literature. They are worth noting in your paper in one way or another.

Senior Project – English IV – 2013 PLEASE NOTE: All dates are tentative and subject to change slightly. Points are also subject to modification based on time spent in class on each element.
