3 Introduction In the introduction of a story, the reader usually encounters the setting, is introduced to the characters, and receives the needed background information.

LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING PICTURE AND IDENTIFY THE SETTING.

7 CHARACTERS THE PEOPLE, ANIMALS, OR PARTICIPANTS THAT TAKE PART IN THE ACTION OF THE STORY. Antagonist - the character in direct opposition to the main character (bad guy) Protagonist - the main character (good guy) LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING PICTURE. WHO ARE THE CHARACTERS IN THIS STORY?

FOR EXAMPLE - SCARY, SAD, OR HAPPY

15 anaphora Also called epanaphora. Rhetoric . repetition of a word or words at the beginning of two or more successive verses, clauses, or sentences.

16 Epistrophe the repetition of a word or words at the end of two or more successive verses, clauses, or sentences, as in 的 should do Brutus wrong, and Cassius wrong.

IT COULD BE FIRST PERSON WHICH MEANS IT IS WRITTEN FROM THE “I” POINT OF VIEW. IT COULD BE THIRD PERSON WHICH MEANS IT IS WRITTEN FROM THE “HE/SHE” POINT OF VIEW. THIS IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE ALL-KNOWING POINT OF VIEW (OMNISCIENT)
