Bannerman High School THE BANNERMAN HIGH SCHOOL FOODBANK TEAM. In Partnership with the Glasgow North East Foodbank and local Co-op stores, would like to thank all of the Bannerman High School Pupils and Staff for their generous support in We will be launching our Partnership for the session in the upcoming weeks. New barometers to track and monitor each classes donations shall be sent to Tutor Teachers shortly. Assemblies will be delivered to S1 on the week beginning the 22nd of October, and to S3 on the week beginning the 29th of October, to mark the start of our Winter collection. Bannerman High School Citizenship Foundation Mock Trial Competition Any s4 , s5 or s6 pupils who are interested in the Law, or who enjoy Drama or Modern Studies, are invited to take part in the school team for a Mock Trial competition taking place in the High Court in Glasgow at the beginning of December. This is a really interesting insight into the law as a profession and into the process of Justice in Scotland . We will be supported again by our Advocate Mentor, Mr Tony Lenehan , an enormously experienced criminal barrister who is guaranteed to offer valuable insight and motivation to all participants. If you are interested please attend a preliminary meeting on Monday 8th October during the morning interval in lab 2 Thanks Mr Ogilvie Respect Responsibility Ambition

Bannerman High School MacMILLAN COFFEE MORNING. The Pupil Support Base would like to thank the staff and pupils for all their donations and generosity at our MacMillan Coffee Morning on 28th September. We managed to raise an amazing £700!! This has been sent to MacMillan Cancer Support. Thank you all so much, Pupil Support Base. S2 CHINESE CLUB : A new S2 Chinese club will be running on Tuesday lunchtimes in L1, starting from 23 October. We’ll be exploring Chinese language and culture through music, film, art and crafts. This club is open to all S2s, but would be a particularly good opportunity for anyone interested in studying Mandarin in S3. For more information, see Ms Highmore in L1. Bannerman High School S1 FUN RUN INFORMATION. The annual S1 fun run will take place periods 6 and 7 on the afternoon of Thursday October 11th. Pupils should report as normal to their P6 class before making their way to the P.E dept. at 1.35pm. Pupils can run or walk the course and should bring PE kit and a bottle of water. Medals will be awarded to the first three girls and boys who finish with house points also available. Finally we are raising money this year for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow and pupils should return their sponsor form as soon as possible. Thank you, Mr Pattison. Bannerman High School NATIONAL 5 BIOLOGY SUPPORTED STUDY. National 5 Biology Supported Study will start up on Wednesday 10th October in Lab 12 with Mrs McKnight. Both S3 and S4 welcome but S4 pupils will be prioritised if class is full. SPANISH & FRENCH FILM CLUB FOR S1 & S2. Come along to enjoy a movie with English subtitles. Tuesdays at lunchtime in Room L3. FILM CLUB. Spanish & French film club for S1 & S2 held on Tuesdays at lunchtime in room L3. Respect Responsibility Ambition

Bannerman High School MUSIC DEPARTMENT. Orchestra - Tuesday after school in the Workshop Theatre. All string, brass & woodwind players should attend as directed by your teacher.
