Introduction Drivers of off-road vehicles are daily exposed to different vibrations levels from: 1. Internal sources such as the engine, driveline and wheels (25≤𝑓 ≤20,000 Hz). 2. External source: road roughness ( 0≤𝑓 ≤25 Hz) in the vertical direction. (Frequency range of principal human body vibration modes) Whole Body Vibration Low frequency & high amplitude Comfort Safety Health UKACC PhD Presentation Showcase

New control strategy- Preview information
Preliminary results Preview information Preview information allows the control to prepare for incoming disturbance which enhance the performance and reducing actuator time delay. UKACC PhD Presentation Showcase

Conclusions Semi-active seat suspensions represent a good compromise between vibration isolation performance and cost. A control strategy with preview information, that utilises inexpensive and measurable states, is a promising approach which will be investigated theoretically and experimentally.
