How flooding is becoming more common
Flooding is one of the most common natural disasters. Florida and the Netherlands experience lots of flooding. Not all floods naturally occur. Some floods are caused by lakes that are man-made. Articles and videos are shown to help us know where the flooding is happening and what it looks like. Graph (A) tells us how the the floods have affected us over the years and graph (B) tells us about the months in 2012 and how the flooding has gone up and down Grph B

What strategies are being put in place to mitigate flooding?
A levee is one way to mitigate flooding. It is an embankment built by engineers out of organic materials such as earth and stone, in order to stop the flooding from a free flowing body of water in a specific location. Flood walls are constructed out of materials such as concrete or steel in order to control the flow of flood waters and prevent the flooding of specific areas. Another way to mitigate flooding is by a fill. A fill is an area of land dug out usually behind a levee in order to capture excess flood waters and to stop flooding to damage to human structures. Dams are the primary purpose this structure unlike a levee is to keep water, not to manage flood water. A dam can produce hydroelectricity as well as adjust water levels by opening and closing the retaining doors.

Drought Drought is when a certain place has minimum water and minimal rain because of extremely hot conditions . Droughts can affect our lifestyle by drying out our crops, wells, ETC. This graph explains the impact droughts have had in 2015.
5
What can be done (technologies, plans) to survive dry drought?
There are many ways to survive a drought. Some ways are getting cover, you could go under the shade. You can also stay hungry you might think “then i will starve” well unless you have water don't eat a lot. If you do then the more you eat the more thirsty you will get.
6
How droughts and flooding impact agriculture
In addition to the problems around the effects of drought on agriculture, the severe storms and flooding that have become the norm are also likely to cause serious impacts to the agricultural sector. These types of storms and flood events are projected to increase in the future.
7
How a drought can increase the likelihood of forest fires
Drought can cause forest fires because the air is so dry and hot. It is caused by the soil getting dry. Once the soil is dry there is no water for the trees so the branches start to fall off. The sun reflects off of the leaves and starts a forest fire. In California it is very hot and dry. Since it's so hot, there is a drought which puts california at a very high chance of a forest fire.

How pollution affects the climate
Air pollution causes greenhouse gases. Air pollution includes carbon dioxide. A common part of pollution is the exhaust from cars, construction sites, factories and trucks. Greenhouse gases can cause global warming by trapping heat from the Sun in the Earth's atmosphere.
