3. ILS Migration October 5th-7th
Current server purchased in 2007 and is now 8 yrs old
Solaris operating system is expensive and difficult to maintain
We have contracted with Sirsidynix for their hosting services called SAAS which stands for Software As A Service
Our data will reside on servers in Atlanta and SirsiDynix will maintain the hardware, operating system, do backups and monitoring. Mid York will maintain the library application aka Workflows/Unicorn/Symphony

7. BEFORE Monday, October 5th
Make sure the Configuration screen shows when opening Workflows: Preference  Configuration ‘ Show this window on next startup’ MUST be checked

8. Monday, October 5th
8:00AM services will be stopped and SirsiDynix will create a snapshot of all of our data
Approximately10:00AM services will be started and users can login to existing server unicorn.midyork.org or with existing username and password
Available Workflows services will be CheckOut, Discharging, Renew User ,Renew Item, Paying Bills, Display User, Check Item Status, Item Search and Display,
Other available services will be the Internet, Cassie, Envisionware, Overdrive, Self-Checkout, Enterprise (No My Account, or Place Holds), Media247

9. Monday, October 5th
Unavailable services: Place Hold, Modify Hold, Remove Hold, Pull-Lists, Discharge Bookdrop, User Registration, Modify User, Renew Privilege, Call Number and Item Maintenace (inventorying or modifying items), Cataloging, Reports, My Account and Place Hold in Enterprise, Bookmyne, E-Library
