Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous

2. This passage is one where many of us would volunteer to be the test case to prove the opposite.

3. 1 – v. 10 money won’t satisfy

5. #2 v. 11 Wealth can be a Burden

6. #3 v. 12 Wealth has a way of disturbing one’s peace.

7. #4 Riches can hurt the owner. v. 13

8. 1 Tim 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

9. #5 v. 14 Riches are fleeting

10. “It is a very high point of Christian wisdom and prudence always to look upon the good things and the great things of this world as a man will certainly look upon them when he comes to die.”

11. #6 v. 15-16 You can’t take it with you.

12. #7 v. 17 Riches bring vexation 1 Tim 6:9
But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.

14. #8– v.18-20 We work so we can eat and enjoy life.

16. Riches are no guarantee of happiness.

19. LET’S CONSIDER what our church ministries would be able to do as a result of greater participation in regular faithful giving to the church. We want to be a church where ALL the parts are working together in terms of Time, Talent, and Treasure.

20. Only when we love God are we able to properly use and enjoy the gifts God gives us in this world.

22. To live beyond the Sun, you must first locate THE SON.

26. The ABC’s of coming to faith –
A - Admit that you can’t control life and you need help – That means there is GOOD NEWS FOR YOU  
B- Believe that Jesus is the only Wisdom and Savior who can heal your heart.
C- confess to God that you want to trust Jesus as your savior and Lord.
