What to Expect from Online Orientation

What is Orientation? It lets students practice in a safe, ungraded environment 25% of their orientation is making sure they can log into their three accounts: PMI Blackboard PMI Portal It ensures their computer and system settings are appropriate

How long is Orientation?
Average length is 1.5 to 2 hours Orientation must be completed before students can access their courses Orientation length may vary based on a student’s computer skill level

Distribute the Orientation Checklist so students know there are 8 Lessons

Orientation is not a race
Students must take their time, read carefully, and prepare themselves for class on Wednesday Students who can’t manage the orientation will most likely struggle in their classes as well

Students must pass the quizzes
Each question is important because it checks for different things Students may take a quiz multiple times Feeback is provided for incorrect answers. If a question is missed, feedback is given This is not a math problem. It’s a Java test!
