Steps Choose 3 of 4 ways to identify the vocabulary word: Definition: In your own words Facts or Characteristics: Make a bulleted list. Draw a picture that helps you understand the meaning of the “word”. Examples: List at least 3. Non-Examples: make a bulleted list about what the “work” is not about.

Once you have used all the graphic organizers on your handout, draw one for each vocabulary word in your spiral notebooks. You will do Daily Vocabulary after the Bellwork everyday.

Daily Vocabulary #2 pueblo: home or community of homes built by some Native Americans culture: a way of life for a group of people who share similar beliefs and traditions artifact: an object left behind by early people that represents their culture adobe: a sun dried mud brick used to build the homes of some Native Americans
