2. Meet the teacher
My name is Raven Dravet. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Purdue Calumet. This is my fourth year teaching first grade. I am so happy to be back at Simatovich and cannot wait for a great year with these wonderful kids!

3. Behavior Management
Student behavior will be communicated daily on their behavior sheet. Please sign and return this daily.

4. Homework
I will be handing out a homework packet every Monday. I want students to get used to being responsible for completing and turning in homework on time. The homework is all review and is meant for practice. It will only be graded based on completion. Homework packets will be due Friday morning as students walk in the door.

CURRICULUM
Math: Addition and Subtraction facts within 20
Time tests (master 40 problems in 2 minutes)
Language Arts: Print uppercase and lowercase letters,
spelling, reading comprehension,
fluency, vowel teams (magic e, ea, ay, oh)
Writing: Opinion, narrative, and informative writing
Revising and editing writing as well as using
research in writing

6. AR 1ST Quarter- 25 books 2nd Quarter- 25 books
3rd Quarter- 25 books and AR Quizzes
4th Quarter- AR Quizzes. Students will read AR books and take quizzes at school to meet their individual goal based on the STAR Reading test
