5. Chart Audits… What an improvement! Starting now…
The “Charting Quality” (the chart above) numbers will be based by time of disposition(admission or discharge) instead of time of arrival.
Chart Audit s will go to the LAST nurse who cared for the trauma patient instead of all nurses who cared for the trauma patient.

The Trauma Surgeon is always in charge of patient care regardless of how many other MDs or Surgeons are in the room.

8. The Belmont will auto-regulate flow to match the catheter’s capacity.
When the Belmont’s high pressure alarm is sounding:
Check to see if it is still running (it most likely will be, just at a lower rate)
Check line and site for infiltration, kinks, bent extremity or BP Cuffs.
If site is good- free from obstruction and has good flow either:
Live with the alarm noise and let the machine infuse
Turn down the flow rate to match catheter’s capacity until a larger line can be established
Remember…..
The Belmont will auto-regulate flow to match the catheter’s capacity.
