2 President’s Roles Chief of State- Ceremonial head of the government.
Chief Executive- Possesses the executive power in the government. Chief Administrator- Directs the Federal Government. Chief Diplomat- Architects American foreign policy.

3 President’s Roles Commander in Chief- Controls the armed forces.
Chief Legislator- Creates public policy. Chief of Party- Leader of the political party. Chief Citizen- Represents all of the people.

4 Formal Qualifications
Must be a natural born citizen. Be, at least, 35 years of age. Have lived in the United States for at least 14 years.

5 President’s Term Elected to four-year terms.
Only elected for two terms. May actually serve 10 years.

6 Pay and Benefits 400,000 dollars a year.
Given a 50,000 dollar expense account that is taxed. Given a house, automobiles, planes, helicopters, resorts, and health care.
