Who can participate in Better You Strides? All full-time employees of City of Venice, 18 years of age and older are encouraged to participate.
 How do I get started? -Subscribers on the City Health Plan: Register with your floridablue.com member account and click “Get Started” under “Your Guide to Better Health.” Register with Better You Strides. Once registered you will simply click on the Get Started button on the Florida Blue Home Page and be directed to the wellness platform. Or you can register directly with Better You Strides by downloading the CaféWell app to your smartphone or other device and enter the code betteryoustrides.
-Non-Subscribers/Non-members: Visit floridablue.com/betteryoustrides to create your account or download the CaféWell app from Google Play or the Apple App store and use the sponsor code betteryou.
 Complete the Online Health Assessment:  Access the BetterYou Strides portal through Florida Blue Website options (Members or Nonmembers), Florida Blue app or the CaféWell app > Select the Add Programs tab > Find the Health Assessment WellCard and click on join now/get started > The Health Assessment WellCard will now be added to your Active Programs tab > On the Health Assessment WellCard, click show activities/take Health Assessment > Complete all Health Assessment questions.  You are finished when you receive an Overall Wellness Score (0- 100).
How do I earn points? To qualify for City of Venice’s incentive program, you MUST complete your online CaféWell Health Assessment and Biometric Screening. Points can then be earned throughout the program by participating in various wellness activities. 1 point equals $0.25, or 4 points equals $ Once you reach a total of 400 points you will receive the maximum contribution of $100 which will be deposited into your paycheck October of Contribution is taxable and will be prorated to the points you earn, if you do not earn the full 400 points. Completing your Health Assessment and Screening are required to earn any subsequent points and funds. Current wellness program runs 10/1/2018 through 7/31/2019.
How do I track my points? From your Better You Strides home page, click on Rewards at the top of the page. The Rewards page will display the total points earned to date as well as the list of wellness activities you can complete for points. Click on the activity name for detailed description/instructions.
Note: You will not see any points in your Rewards Dashboard until both the Biometric Screening and the Online Health Assessment have been completed. Please allow 4-6 weeks for points to display once both have been completed.

9. Gym Reimbursement Program runs October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019
By participating you can earn back up to $480 a year
Each quarter an is sent reminding employees to submit for reimbursement
Submit reimbursement request form, proof of attendance and proof of payment by deadline
2019 Attendance minimum is 30 visits per quarter/10 per month
Reimbursement will be added to paycheck in 1-2 pay cycles
