If there are 2,200 students, we can use these probabilities to estimate how many servings of each flavor we need.
# of students x % = # of servings needed
Ex. Vanilla
2200 x 0.22 = 484
We will need 484 servings of vanilla ice cream.
Teacher may have to review finding percentages with students. After examples, have students partners find the number of servings for the other 3 flavors. After students are finished show the next slide for answers.

“Each serving is ½ cup and there are 16 cups per gallon, how many servings in a gallon?” Talk to your partner.
“How did you get your answer?”
“If there are 32 servings per gallon, how many servings in a 5 gallon tub?” Have students discuss and solicit student answers before showing them the answer.
