Performance Assessment for California Teachers PACT
Goal for today: Overall, what do I need to do? Plan & Teach a Learning Segment. Follow the Instructions from the Teaching Event Handbook to Complete a Teaching Event. Use the Rubrics to Self-Assess. Complete by April 9th. Know what these are: Learning Segment Teaching Event Teaching Event Handbook Rubrics Due Dates (see course outline on instructors website)

Know the Components of the Teaching Event Plan & Teach a Learning Segment. Includes 5 tasks Context Planning for Instruction & Assessment Instruction Assessment Reflection Overview of the Teaching Event. p 2. Accessible at (Supporting Documents for Candidates) Provides ALL the instructions for completing your Teaching Event. The Math Teaching Handbook is different than the English Handbook, the English Handbook is different from the Science Handbook…USE the Teaching Handbook for your teaching area!

Rubrics Accessible at (Supporting Documents for Candidates) These rubrics are used to score your work. Teaching Events are scored in April by trained scorers. Your instructor does not score your work but will provide regular feedback via . Use the rubric to self-assess your work.
