Romero Britto Romero Britto is a Brazilian artist that currently lives in Miami, Florida. He combines Pop Art and Cubism to create bright and fun pieces of art. Go to and check out his work. His work is on luggage, notebooks, and purses.

Your assignment: Take your self portrait you already drew, place tracing paper over it and trace it lightly with a pencil. Just trace the important contour lines. 2. Turn the tracing paper over and trace the lines you drew on the back of the tracing paper. 3. Flip the tracing paper over and put it down on a new piece of drawing paper and trace over the lines. The graphite from the back of the tracing paper will transfer to the drawing paper.

4. Divide your drawing into
sections and plan out your colors. Sections should be different shapes and sizes. 5. Paint the background of each section. Choose colors carefully! Use tints and shades. 6. Once the section dries, draw your patterns (use templates and rulers) and paint the designs. Every section does not have to have a pattern!

7. Paint neat, smooth sections
and cover paper completely. 8. Once paint is completely dry use a sharpie to create black outlines. * Due Thursday, September 6th

Can be organic or geometric. Abstract: Artwork that does not attempt to represent accurate depictions of visual reality but relies on shapes, color, forms, and marks to achieve its effect.
