5. Slam!
This can be used where 2 students come out to the front and the rest of the class has to say one of these in Spanish and the person at the front who is the quickest to touch the correct square gets the point. You could also use it as oxo where students are split into 2 teams and have to say what the subject is in Spanish. You could add challenge by asking students to give opinions / days they study them for extra points.

Students can come up to the board to write what these mean in English or you can go over them as a group. Talk about why there are different endings and model some examples.

8. Estudio español, matemáticas y ciencias
Estudio español, matemáticas y ciencias. Estudio inglés, geografía y teatro también. No estudio francés. Me gusta el español pero no me gusta la geografía. Mi amigo, Juan, estudia la geografía también pero piensa que es interesante.
Students are to translate the colour which matches the outcome they chose at the start of the lesson. Don’t restrict students though. Encourage them to continue going. Challenge – ask students to use this as guide to create their own sentences about subjects.
