3 Journal 1 OBJECTIVE: Students will be able to… Reiterate the class expectations for Financial Lit Explain why good money management practices are important AGENDA: Journal Introductions Expectations Spotlight Activity Label your sheet of paper “Journal 1” and answer the following question. Make sure to answer in complete sentences. “Who are some people that you think are ‘financially successful?’ What makes you say that they’re successful, and how did they accomplish that?”

18 Spotlight Activity 1. Take 5 minutes to fill out the first section on the Student Spotlight worksheet 2. Use 5 minutes to fill out the second section 3. Get with your partner and interview them, asking one original question in addition to the 6 on the worksheet (5 minutes each).
