Semmelweis Ignác Manszfeld Péter
-Youngest official victim of the freedom fight. He was executed. -Through Soviet/Hungarian propaganda he was acused and called out to be rebellious criminal. -He was part of a group called the ‘boys of Pest’ (young freedom fighters). -All his Male relatives where put in “Labor camps”. - 19th century ( ) “Saviour of mothers” (doctor) Introducing hand disinfection He was considered to be hero because by this procedure he decreased the number of deaths to below 1% on the maternity ward, thus saving women all over the world.

Egerszegi Krisztina Sztehlo Gábor
He is considered to be hero because he saved thousands of jewish children’s lives (e.g..: György Oláh, he was awarded a Nobel prize in Chemistry in 1994) in the Second World War by helping them find homes where they could stay temporarily. He founded the Gaudiopolis Orphanage . -1974-today - One of the most famous hungarian swimmer -The youngest person in Hungary to win at an Olympic game (age:15) -Won 5 Olympic gold medals -Considered to be a hero, since she proved that with passion and hard work, you can achieve anything you want in life

– noble Hungarian women (related to the most important noble families) Held the castle of Munkács against Austrian armies for 4 years (symbol of freedom) Provided example of patriotism and perseverance in a man-dominated society -1959-Today, Franciscan monk -Created a child saving organization in Transylvania. -Considered a hero for saving the lives of many starving children in Romania

Mancs Szekeres Pál 1964-today Famous hungarian Paralympic fencer
First to win medals on Olympic and Paralympic Games also. 3 gold and 3+1 bronze medals Considered a hero because even his serious injury couldn’t stop him from doing the sport he loves and making our country proud – has never given up German Shepard Spider Special Rescue Team “Paw” Earthquakes (Izmit) European Citizen’s Prize Hatira Kaplan He was considered a hero, because he overcame a developmental disorder and saved many lives during his lifetime.

In 1829, she opened schools for servant girls. Considered to be hero because during her lifetime, she established many educational institutions and formed the basis of primary education in Hungary – empashized women’s rigth for education
