Step by step on how to green screen on Premier Pro.
By Karley

Step 1, 2 and 3. When you open Premier Pro the first thing that will open will be this box you click on new project. Thirdly this box will pop up you need to make sure that the editing mode is in DV PAL then click ok. Next step this box will appear you then write whatever you want to call it in the box that the arrow here is pointing to, in my case I named it green screen practise.

Step 4, 5 and 6 You will then be greeted with this to add your footage you need to go to where the arrow is pointing click onto this. You then find the file Media, click onto this then go to ghost footage and then level 3 media production. Then go to the file named AA0069.

Step 7, 8 and 9 Then you drag the footage to the video 1 timeline and make sure you click change existing settings. Then it will look like this, after that I went onto the internet and selected three different images of my choice to add to the background. You then need to import your images to do this you go to file, import and select wherever your images are.

Step 10, 11 and 12 You then need to drag what you had in video 1 to video 2 and then add your picture to the video 1 timeline. You then need to go on the effects tab in the left corner and go to video effects and find one that says keying, then scroll down to find ultra key then drag this to the footage. It will then look like this when you’ve moved the footage and added the image.

Step 13, 14 and 15 When you do this this box will come up in the top left. You need to go to this eye dropper tool. You then click that and click onto the background of your footage then the image you placed should appear behind. This is what it should look like when you add the picture. You can then mess about with the transparency etc to get rid of the crinkles in the background but overall it should look like this also you can mess about with the sizing so that it will fit the frame better.
