Water leadership development A call for 1,000 water leaders at 4 th Delft Symposium in 2007 Pioneering water leadership program created by the International WaterCentre in Brisbane Collaborative project created by UNESCO-IHE and ADB on standards and initiatives for water leadership programs

Why adopt quality standards? Enable more high-quality water leadership programs to be created with developing countries in Asia and Africa Mobilize funding from governments, development projects and private sector, including private foundations To sponsor such programs.

Global quality standards 1.Expanding opportunities for emerging water leaders 2.Applying the 70-20-10 rule of leadership development 3.Combining transformational leadership with cognitive competencies and skills 4.Sharing knowledge through a Community of Practice for research, innovation, evaluations, and regular review of standards 5.Supporting aspiring water leaders at all levels through leadership modules in MSc courses etc.
