Annotated Bibliography
An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and documents. Each citation is followed by a brief paragraph that describes and evaluatives the source.

Purpose of an Annotation
The purpose of the annotation is to help the reader evaluate whether the source cited is relevant to a specific research topic or line of inquiry.

What the annotation includes
Annotations should be no more than 80 words (or 2-3 sentences long). Annotations may include some or all of the following information: Content: What is the resource about? Is it relevant to your research? Purpose: What is it for? Why was the article written? Usefulness: What does it do for your research?

Reliability: Is the information accurate
Reliability: Is the information accurate? Do other sources support the information. Authority: Is it written by someone who has the expertise? What are the author’s credentials? Currency: Is it up-to-date for the topic? Ease of use: Can a “real person” use this resource?
