Dose the amount of drag effect the distance flown by the airplane? This is going to be a drag:) Dec,2,2014 Thats Funny!!!!
2
Question? Dose Increasing the amount of drag effect the distance flown by a paper airplane
3
Background info I chose this project for one reason.I love the idea of flight.I aslo love anythng with a engine. The problom is...I cant seem to get ahold of a real airplane with a motor. So a paper air plane was the next best thing.I want a better understanding of how flight is posibile. So maybe one day i can master it.(Fly a real plane).

The Variables Independent:Amount of drag
Dependent:The distance flown by test plane Constants :The point at where u fly paper airplanes,What unit You use to measure distance flown,Kind of paper used to make paper airplanes.
5
Hypothesizing I hypothesis that the increased amount of drag will cause the airplane to lose flight distance.

Materials Paper A Ruler A stick (to show where to throw the plane) Tap
7
Procedure 1:Fold a piece of paper into a basic paper plane design
Repeat step 1 two more times.the amount of paper folded at the end of the wings should increase on each plane.this is the drag. go to a large flat area with little to no wind to fly the airplanes fly each plane and record data.

Conclusion The question I asked was does the amount of drag added to a plane cause it to fly a smaller distance. To preform this excperement i folded the back of a air plane three diferent ways to aplly the drag.I named each airplane by the the amount of centemeters of drag on that plane. At the end of the excperement i concluded that more drag equals to less distance flown.
