What is the Editor’s Education Level? Received PhD from University of Pennsylvania What is Editor’s previous writing experience? Neil Fraistat’s published works include: Journals -“Studies in Romanticism”, “Digital Humanities Quarterly” Books- “The Poem and the Book”, “Poems in Their Place” Coedited- “Reimagining Textuality: Textual Studies in the Late Age of Print” How much does the Editor probably know about their topic or topics in which he or she is writing? Neil’s vast experience has given him extensive knowledge of this topic. Neil is a professor of English and the general editor of the Romantic Circles and he is the director of the Maryland Institute for technology. Does he or she deal intimately with this subject in daily life or only researches it for the purpose of writing about it? Yes, Neil deals with this subject intimately on a daily basis through his work as an Editor on Romantic Circles. Does the Editor have a neutral perspective on the sites subject matter, or is he trying to promote a particular view point? At this time it is unclear whether or not Neil has a neutral perspective on the sites subject matter or if he is trying to promote a particular view point.

Jones’s published works include: Books- “Satire in Romanticism”, “The emergence of the Digital Humanities”, “Codename Revolution: The Nintendo Wii Platform” etc. How much does the Editor probably know about their topic or topic in which he or she is writing? Steven E. Jones has been working in the field of English for 27 years as a result he has a wealth of knowledge regarding this topic. Does he or she deal intimately with this subject in daily life or only researches it for the purpose of writing about it? Steven E. Jones is also a general Editor for Romantic Circles therefore, he also must engage with this topic on a daily basis. Does the Editor have a neutral perspective on the sites subject matter, or is he trying to promote a particular view point? At this time it is unclear whether or not Steve has as neutral perspective on the sites subject matter or if he is trying to promote a particular view point.

Is there an organization that is in charge of the sites content or that informs the sites operations? It is unclear whether Romantic Circles has funding from a separate organization however, the University of Maryland uses Romantic Circles as reference material for their students. Therefore, it would seem that the University of Maryland has a connection to the Romantic Circles site. Does this corporation have a vested interest in the sites subject matter? Yes, the University of Maryland does have a vested interest in the sites subject matter because the University of Maryland uses Romantic Circles as reference material for the students to research scholarly articles on Romantic Literature. What perspective do they want people to have on this topic? They are encouraging their student body who are taking Romanic Literature courses to use this site as research material. Are they likely to encourage the authors and editors to give skewed presentation? No, the University of Maryland is not likely to encourage the distribution of skewed presentation because that would give the students at their institution false information.
