2. Language Arts
Focus is on building language, vocabulary, spelling, and reading skills
One lesson per week – Review lessons are saved for short weeks
Typically first two pages are Monday, second two are Tuesday, last two are Thursday
Spelling Squares will be added in a couple weeks
Definition, sentence, picture, 2 things I think of
Can be done on worksheets or will have a PDF avail for CB

3. Reading
Most of reading will be SRA Corrective Reading supplemented with Systems 44
SRA Corrective is a phonics-based direct instruction program in small group with the teacher. Develop decoding, fluency, and comprehension skills
Systems 44/Read 180 – Scholastic Reading Programs
Done online after signing into the program
Requires headphones with a microphone to complete. Can be worked on at home too

4. Math We are using the Saxon Math curriculum IXL
Continuous learning curriculum with spiral review built in
Focuses on application of math concepts as well as functional math skills
IXL
Used as a supplement to support math computation skills
All students have a log on – can be accessed anywhere
Log into IXL.com – firstnamelastname pw – student number

5. 5th Social Studies/Science
Will utilize Unique Learning – Different units per month
Log on will be through Canvas
Weekly current events with New-2-You
Reading, writing, math, and functional activities built in to coordinate

6. Connecting
Use the school website to keep up to date with events and news
Access to files and needed paperwork
Home Access – allow you to see student grades
Canvas – Online learning platform with assignments, links, calendars, etc
