Incorrect Inventory Commitments in Item Availability
Why is this a problem Order items that are over stocked Produce an item that isn’t really needed May run out of an item that appears to be on order How do we fix them Run reposts SO Repost (R42995), WO Repost (R3190), PO Repost (R43990) SQL
8
Rollback Process If a Transaction Error occurs in an E1 Distribution application, all files except the Item Location (F41021) file will be rolled back. Due to the high utilization of the Item Location (F41021) table, it is excluded to avoid record-locking issues. Certain applications will automatically rollback the F via special application and Tools Code
9
Note: In the event a problem occurs with auto-rollback process the manual process may need to be used. For example if a database connection is lost the manual process will need to be used.
10
Example: Example - when a database connection is lost
Inventory will be off Example – database
11
Example: Example - when a database connection is lost
Inventory will be off Example – database Can run SO Repost (R42995) – May have to create a dummy SO. *** unless on 9.2 – more on this later ***

Anytime you encounter commitment integrities. When Item Availability does not match the Cardex Before you run SO Repost (R42995), WO Repost (R3190), PO Repost (R43990) Scheduler? F41021 Commitments Recovery (R42210) First review F41021WF
16
Technical Requirements
UDC 00/AT must have special handling code “1” F41021 Transaction Workfile (F41021WF) must exist in the Business Data data source The calling application must have Transaction Processing implemented
17
Refresh Inventory Commitments (R42990)
*** 9.2 Enhancement *** Run at the same time you run SO Repost (R42995) Run over different data sets, mutually exclusive and designed to run in tandem R42990 runs over F41021, F4101, and F4102, refreshing commitments for those items that do not have an active sales order R42995 runs over F4211 and updates commitments for those items on active sales orders
