1. BEING MISLED
‘24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize’ (1 Corinthians 9:24) - Many are still on the wrong path, despite thinking otherwise - What may lead us onto the wrong path, and disqualify us from the ultimate prize?

2. Outdoing others?
- Not determined by point system, neither ‘crossing the line’ into Heaven - 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:43-48) - God favours no-one, no matter what you do, so don’t desire to be more favourable amongst humans

3. Good works?
- Good works are appreciated, but nothing will compare to the work of God - Many verses refer to goods works as glorification E.g “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

4. Keeping only the commandments?
- Commonly perceived as the core way for ‘a spot’ in Heaven - Matthew 19:16-22 Jesus tells the rich man to give all his possessions after stating that he follows the 6 commandments he mentions. The man finds it difficult to oblige, due to his great riches. - Following those commandments works towards a righteous life, but not necessarily towards eternal life

5. If living by these misconceptions is wrong, what do we live by?
