Various Levels of NCAA Athletics
Division I: large universities with extensive athletic programs that offer full scholarships. Division II: universities which offer partial scholarships….want a balance with education and athletics. Division III: committed to academics...offer no scholarships JUCO: two year universities that prepare students for four year universities. NAIA: small schools, traditionally private religious schools.

Freshmen: Plan NOW! visit eligibilitycenter.org Sophomore: Register with NCAA. Take ACT one time. Junior: Take ACT 2 times. Senior: Take ACT 1 times if needed.

Calculating your NCAA Core GPA
Must take NCAA approved courses. Goal is to make A’s and B’s bc it will equate to a GPA Score well on the ACT. Benchmark score vary but 18 is average. Understand that HS GPA is not NCAA GPA Sliding Scale Higher NCAA Core GPA is lower you ACT can be. Higher your ACT Score is the lower you NCAA Core GPA can be. Division 1 Standards Change after August 1, 2016 Division 2 Standards Change after August 1, 2018
