Once you are there 45 your chromebook
This is a 45 chromebook. (Lid is a little more than halfway shut)

2. Today’s Objective(s)
Students will be able to complete an assignment in google classroom
Students will interact with and analyze artifacts in order to determine their origination.

3. Be the Historian
Historians study the everyday lives of people who lived in the past by looking at clues: the objects and documents that people left behind and that have somehow survived. Someday future historians interested in the history of the 21st century may study your family!

4. Be the Historian
Complete the tasks for each of the history skills below. You should work with your group members but you are responsible for completing your own worksheet and turning it in.

Find a picture of a similar item on the internet using the words from number 2.
Write a short description (at least 3 sentences) of what you think the person’s life was like that first owned or used this object.
Write a sentence explaining what other items or objects might have been found in the same area where your artifact was dug up.

5. How to complete in classroom
Open the assignment
Click on the Be the Historian that is underlined and smaller
A document will open up. This is your copy and you are to fill it out.
Change the color of the font to make it easier to read. (keep it a darker color)

6. Be the Historian
You will have 5 minutes with each artifact. After the time is up you will be passing the artifact to the next group.
