What is Atherosclerosis and why is it considered a heart disease?
Atherosclerosis is a disease that causes plaque buildup in arteries which stops the oxygen blood flow throughout the body. Atherosclerosis can affect ANY artery in the body, as a result, different diseases may develop based on which arteries are affected.

How can Atherosclerosis be prevented?
There are many general ways to prevent atherosclerosis like; -physical activity -heart-healthy eating (like fruits and vegetables) -weight control +if you are a smoker, quitting smoking is a great idea (of course)

Is it reversible Yes, atherosclerosis is reversible. Doctors say if patient follows these rules, it is very likely the disease will be “reversed”= -smoking cessation -strict vegetation diet -regular physical activity -adequate stress management +Another way to reverse this disease is to get a heart transplant+
