Tardy bell rings at 7:45 a.m. Parents must sign in his/her child if tardy. Dismissal Dismissal begins at 2:10 p.m. After School Program (ASP) is open until 6:00 p.m. All students in the building MUST be registered for ASP. * Please have picture ID available when signing in and/or out of the building.

5 Transportation changes

7 Notes from the Nurse If your child needs medication administered during the school day, please click here to download the appropriate form. No medication will be dispensed without proper documentation. If your child has a fever over 100 degrees, he/she must be fever- free, without medications (i.e. Tylenol, ibuprofen, etc.), for 24 hours before returning to school. If your child is sick, he/she must have no symptoms of vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school. For Kindergarten and 1st Grade students, please pack an extra set of clothes in the bookbag in case of accidents.

9 GRADING 90 – 100 – A 80 – 89 – B 74 – 79 – C 70 – 73 – D 69 and below – F Any D or F papers require parent signature and to be returned to the teacher.

10 HOMEWORK 4th grade expectation is an average of 40 minutes per night.
Read 20 minutes nightly. See more information in your child’s Sneak-a-Peek folder regarding homework guidelines.

11 BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT Be respectful. Follow ALL instructions and rules.
Respect authority, peers, school, and property Follow ALL instructions and rules. Listen carefully and raise your hand before talking Follow directions given verbally and written Always be prepared with classwork and homework. Return signed papers from home on time Complete assignments to the BEST of one’s ability Always use self-control. Work quietly. Do not keep others from working Work safely

12 BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT Any classroom/school related problem that has NOT been solved by a warning will result in an X. The information will be noted in the comment section of the student agenda with an X next to it. When a student receives an X for not following classroom rules, he/she will have to walk three laps at recess. PLEASE check and sign the agenda each day. After three consecutive Xs for the disruption of learning, an office referral will be made to address this issue. Any action that goes against Cobb County Board policies will result in an immediate office referral (ie. Bullying, inappropriate physical contact, etc.). For a complete listing of these offenses, refer to the Cobb County handbook.

13 COMMUNICATION Agendas should be signed by a guardian every night.
Thursday folders will go home every Thursday. A grade level newsletter will go home biweekly. Check teacher’s blog.
