3 The Survey Graphs Survey respondents were asked to rate a list of characteristics and experiences that the next Grambling State University President should embody. Response options were between “1 – Most Important” and “5 – Least Important.” Although all of the characteristics and experiences are important, respondents were asked to rank the most pressing ones.

When asked to offer additional comments on characteristics not already covered, alums offered the following: Student-Centered: Capacity to engage and relate with students (available and approachable) Leadership: Business-minded, with ability to negotiate and interact with the UofL Board and campus presidents (while pressing GSU priorities), companies, agencies and individuals
