Do Now: Choose a nutrition topic Computer lab: 1. Tell Mrs. Garcia what your topic is. 2. Brainstorm a list of possible ideas to include in your newsletter. Write this list in your notebook. 3. Organize your ideas into an outline for your news letter. 4. Outline for your newsletter is due Friday.

2 Possible Ideas for newsletters:
1. Identify a basic nutrient to be featured in your newsletter (Vitamins, Minerals, Water, Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats) 2. Discuss the basic function of the nutrient. 3. List foods that contain the nutrient. 4. Include a recipe that incorporates the nutrient. 5. Include a website for additional information. 6. Include audience participation. (Quiz, contest to enter, advice column etc.)
