Hematoxylin and eosin section showing a mildly atrophic epidermis with focal basal vacuolar change. There is dysmaturation of the keratinocytes likely related to chemotherapy effect. Melanin is present within the stratum corneum. Within the dermis a scant infiltrate of lymphocytes surround the superficial vessels and there are scattered melanophages.
