What differences do you expect to encounter?
Physical - Social - Worldview: values, assumptions, goals - Symbolic system - Language - Church - Work in groups….. Then gather feedback and get someone to scribe on whiteboard: Language/communication People and places look/smell different Food and drinks Fears for health and safety (hygiene issues) Geography and climate Customs and values (social norms/different attitude to time) Not knowing what’s going on or what is expected or where to find things A sense of loss/homesickness Religious worldview
