OFF-ICE ALTERCATIONS Monitor the altercation from an on-ice vantage point Record the numbers of the players involved and their infractions Assess appropriate penalties in dressing room Responsibility for separating players lies with team officials and rink management

IN THE DRESSING ROOM Review scoresheet with partner(s) and official scorer Cross-out empty team roster, goal and penalty lines Record any additional penalties for infractions that occurred after the game ends Check cumulative player and team penalties [Rule 401(b)] Sign the scoresheet Discuss with your partners any unusual situations that may have occurred or that require a game report Retain a copy (or take picture) of the scoresheet if any game reports need to be submitted

AFTER THE GAME Officials should leave the dressing room and rink together whenever practical Be professional and courteous Avoid conversations outside of the dressing room about the game just played Don’t linger At earliest opportunity: Write game reports for all major, game misconduct, and match penalties assessed and submit through the USA Hockey online Incident Reporting System.
