2 Devout (Adj.) Having or showing deep religious feeling or commitment.

3 Duress (N.) Threats, violence, constraints, or other action brought to bear on someone to do something against their will or better judgment.

4 Hypocrite (N.) A person who claims or pretends to have certain beliefs about what is right but who behaves in a way that disagrees with those beliefs

5 Squalid (Adj.) (of a place) extremely dirty and unpleasant, especially as a result of poverty or neglect.

6 Varmint (N.) a troublesome and mischievous person, especially a child (or animal)

7 Croon (V.) Hum or sing in a soft, low voice, especially in a sentimental manner.

8 Furtive (Adj.) Attempting to avoid notice or attention, typically because of guilt or a belief that discovery would lead to trouble; secretive.

9 Notoriety (N.) The state of being famous or well known for some bad quality or deed.

10 Recluse (N.) A person who lives a solitary life and tends to avoid other people

11 Staccato (AdV.) An abrupt utterance, each syllable being enunciated separately; noted especially in multiple sclerosis.

15 Resentment (N.) Bitter indignation (anger or annoyance) at having been treated unfairly.

16 Unwarranted (Adj.) Not justified or authorized.
