Mt. Van Hoevenberg is the home of the 2001 World Cup Bobsledding

This is one of the many signs that you will see at Mt. Van Hoevenberg

When you are walking around this is one of the sights that you will see if you attend the competition

After getting over the starting line we start to get into the sled

The beginning part of the 1 or 2 minute run

Here you can get the sense of speed that we experience as we go down the track.

Going through the track we start to gain the speed that we need to get through the whole track

As we start going down the track we may encounter things like this… bridges

Going around the curve - this one just happens to be the steepest on the track

Heading out of the steepest track toward the finish line of the track

As we wait to come to a complete stop we sit in the bobsled

And the finish line is finally reached

The many volunteers help us get our bobsled off the track after our run

After it is announced that the United States wins the gold medal this is the ceremony that is given to them and the others who placed.
