families and students with visual impairments and blindness to learn and stay current on
ever-changing technology.

3. Webinar Objectives
Become familiar with the website’s broad range of content
Learn how to search and navigate the website for desired resources and educational strategies
Learn about the Student Page in order to encourage students to join the student discussions
Join the P2T Community of Practice by registering on the site and sharing a technology post

4. P2T: The Need
21 Century Classrooms are becoming digital (paperless) classrooms
TVIs must become knowledgeable and comfortable with assistive technology in order to teach students
Students with VIB must become competent with assistive technology at an early age and must be efficient with digital literacy
Eductaors need effective strategies, tools and processes that can be used to convert dynamic, adaptable digital content to accessible formats
A strong VI Community of Practice is needed to ensure that educators are kept current through rapid changes in technology

5. P2T: The Goals
Curate text and video content that is created by the community
Create and publish tools and best practices to enable educators and students to convert mainstream instructional materials to accessible digital materials
Provide one place to disseminate information about new technologies, new software/apps and best practice teaching techniques for cutting edge digital materials
Facilitate Community of Practice related to Assistive Technology and Digital Literacy
Empower educators, families and students to advocate for accessibility and to support developers/programmers to create accessible educational materials
