3 Meet ALEX Through a series of easy, intuitive questions, ALEX will walk you through benefits offerings and is able to suggest appropriate plans based on your answers This casual, sometimes humorous, approach to explaining benefits plans at UF is a change from the overly detailed explanations that we have historically provided

While Alex is interactive and web-based, the tool does not ask for any personally identifying data None of your information is saved or collected by the ALEX tool When ALEX asks for your address, it’s optional and only requested in order to make it possible to rejoin the conversation later if you’re unable to finish in one sitting Your address is not used for any marketing purposes

8 Important Benefit Reminders
New hires 60 days from hire date to enroll in benefits Coverage start dates State health & life plans – may request 1st of the month after enrollment State supplemental – varies with pay cycle UF plans – retroactive to hire date after enrollment Annual Open Enrollment (Excludes retirement) Scheduled from October 15 through November 2, 2018 Coverage changes take effect January 1 of the following year Annual Benefits and Wellness Fair (October 18, 2018, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Champions Club at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium)

10 Important Reminders Healthcare FSA and Limited Purpose FSA
2018 Plan Year FSA funds must be used by 12/31/18 Remaining FSA balance after 12/31/18 will carry over up to $500 into the next plan year Funds over the $500 carryover amount will be forfeited Annual FSA Max can still be selected even with a carryover $500 carryover will be added to your annual election Deadline for claims submission stays the same – by 4/15 each year Total balance (annual election + carryover) will only show on Chard Snyder portal, and not People First Canceled FSA, but have a carryover at the end of the year – the FSA will carryover year to year until funds are depleted. The Benny Card remains active and the account can be reviewed on the Chard Snyder portal

11 Important Reminders Other FSA News…
Dependent Care FSA does NOT have a $500 carryover like the Healthcare and Limited Purpose FSA Grace period still provided for Dependent FSA’s Claims for FSA accounts (healthcare, limited purpose and dependent care) must be filed by 4/15 each year Chard Snyder offers a Live Chat Feature Available in the FSA & HSA sections on the People First portal Chat with a Chard Snyder rep. about anything you might call or about Representatives available for chat Monday –Friday, 8am-5pm EST

12 UFSelect Plans Eagles Direct Reimbursement Dental Plan--Slight increase in monthly rates for 2019 Guaranteed Issue Life and Disability* during OE for the following: UFSelect Life Insurance--Employees may elect up to the Guarantee Issue amount $300,000, no Evidence of Insurability (EOI) required UFSelect Disability Insurance--Employees may elect 30 or 90-day plan, no EOI required *Note: If previously denied—must complete EOI for any amount requested. Active work provision for add/increase in coverage at OE.

13 State Plans Health Savings Account (HSA)
Contribution maximum increased for 2019 $3,500 individual / $7,000 for family Includes state’s contribution State Life Plans Optional Life Insurance offer for OE: 2x annual salary (max $500k) No Evidence of Insurability (EOI) required Offer available for all optional life eligible employees, including employees previously denied optional life based on medical history 3x to 5x annual salary (max $500k) with EOI Name change from Securian to Securian Financial

Shared Savings Program--cost saving innovations and options Healthcare Bluebook and SurgeryPlus Automatic enrollment in the program Rewards credited to HRA, FSA, or HSA (health savings account) Program details sent directly to participants from DSGI/PeopleFirst Chard Snyder Benny cards--new design for cards Continue to use your old card until it expires New cards sent automatically
