2. Custom View Migration Process
Test Environment
Prepare initial test environment using with original data marts and representative data sets to test the migration.
Migration Tool
Run migration tool to analyze the view and determine areas of focus for migrating the views.
Implementation
Import initial template from migration tool and refine as necessary the result, or
Create view from anew using the information provided by the migration tool to select the appropriate templates and create necessary data marts to complete the view
Advanced Topics
Some portlets are dropped like the Table Manager portlet. It might be necessary to re-deign the view or impacted page.

9. Preparing Data for views
Summary Data
Summary data is used to display results based on some interpretation of historical data. This can include topics like Can communicate information about Top N systems, days to saturation, bottleneck resources, recommendations, or any other useful information based on the historical data.
Summary data comes from Data Marts that are prepared to provide the needed analysis for the historical data. While the summary view templates interact with the SQL data marts, the input for the SQL data marts can come from either custom code or results of an analysis or model data mart.
Detailed Data
Detailed data is typically displayed as time series graphs for selected system(s).
The metrics chosen for the detailed data are selected from within the view templates itself.
However, it is possible to enrich the graphs with additional information including presenting the actual data versus forecasted data by creating analysis templates.

10. Showing Summarized Data
Summary Table template
Is used to show data in a table.
Can communicate information about Top N systems, systems with certain capacity trends, recommendations, or any other information based on the historical data.
Data Mart Explorer template
Is also be used to show data in a table.
Enables use of charts to provide more the information to support results in the sumamry table.

11. Showing Detailed Data System Detail template
Is used to show time series data for the slected system in a graph.
Provides ability to show some summary data and configuration data for the system.
Provides pre-defined set of time ranges to select from: yesterday, last 7 and 30 days.
System Data Explorer template
Is also used to show time series data for the selected system in a graph.
Provides ability to select any time range and custom time filters.
